MORE patients said that they were satisfied with the medical services they had received in Shenzhen in the third quarter of the year than in the second, according to a survey by the city’s health authority released Friday.
Nearly 90,000 people participated in the survey, covering 115 hospitals in the city, 57 of which were public and 58 private. Two hospitals — Shenzhen Jianfeng Hospital and Shenzhen Spring Hospital — didn’t participate in the survey due to operational changes. The patients’ average degree of satisfaction was 81.88 percent, 1.01 percent higher than the previous quarter.
Public hospitals received an 82.15 percent satisfaction rating, while a 79.05 percent rating was given to private hospitals, both up slightly from the quarter before.
Out of all 115 hospitals, the top three public ones were Shenzhen Kou’an Hospital, Shenzhen Prevention and Treatment Center for Occupational Diseases, and Shenzhen Sun Yat-sen Cardiovascular Hospital. The top three private hospitals were Shenzhen Jingtian Hospital, Shenzhen Zhongshan Urological Hospital, and C-MER (Shenzhen) Dennis Lam Eye Hospital.
The least satisfactory hospitals included Shenzhen Dapeng New Area Kuichong People’s Hospital, Shenzhen Pingshan New Area Maternity and Childcare Hospital, Shenzhen Bao’an District Fuyong People’s Hospital, Shenzhen Guangsheng Hospital, Shenzhen Huanan Gynecological Hospital and Shenzhen Fuhua I.T.W.M Hospital.
