    Peddlers caught

TWO peddlers selling seafood at Futian Agricultural Produce Market were caught using chloramphenicol to keep the animals fresh.

Chloramphenicol is a medicine forbidden by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The two 34-year-old men operated a seafood stand at the market. After chloramphenicol was detected in their seafood products by the Futian Food and Drug Administration in late August, police opened an investigation on the two men and decided to detain them.
