Food bank project launched
    2016-December-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Staff members of Carrefour Shenzhen and volunteers with IRNGO (International Recycling) mark the launch of a food bank project Saturday. Six Carrefour stores across Shenzhen invited shoppers to bring their spare food from home to the stores to donate to an orphanage in Shenzhen. Shoppers can also buy an item, which is priced below 20 yuan (US$2.9), to donate on the spot, and the French retailer will send the donations to the needy. The retailer donated nearly 14 tons of food to the needy in China through last year’s project. Sun Yuchen
