City cracks down on smuggling
    2016-December-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Police seize smuggled daily necessities in a residential apartment Friday. Police raided 17 locations in Futian, Luohu, Nanshan, Bao’an and Longgang districts Friday, according to the city’s public security bureau Sunday. Nineteen suspected smugglers were arrested in the action, during which 48 tons of smuggled fuel, vehicle tires and a number of furs were also impounded. Since November when police launched a citywide campaign to crack down on smuggling, 102 people have been arrested, and four vehicles with Shenzhen and Hong Kong license plates, 221 homemade guns and more than 3,600 computers have been seized.
