A PROJECT by the Chinese National Committee on Care for Next Generation is offering Shenzhen residents a package ticket for 198 yuan (US$28), which permits a visit to 60 sites in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
The project has been launched in eight Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Wuhan, and the Shenzhen version of the ticket allows visits to 42 Shenzhen sites, including Shenzhen Safari Park and Myrules World, as well as 18 sites in Guangzhou. The sites, which are good for parent-child sightseeing or group programs, include safari parks, water parks, role-play studios and handcraft workshops.
“Such a ticket can save a total of 6,813 yuan in ticket costs for a visitor, and it’s valid between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017,” said He Junlin, a director with the national committee. “Our purpose is to promote parent-child relations by encouraging parents to spend more time with their children. The project has been well received by the sites, which have given us a lot of support. The sites we’ve chosen are mostly in the downtown areas.”
He said that they plan to issue 100,000 such tickets in total, including 50,000 in Shenzhen, 30,000 in Guangzhou and 20,000 in remaining cities. Residents can buy the tickets using the app “Qinzi Nianpiao,” or parent-child annual ticket. Visitors are required to either upload their photos onto the app or attach their photos to the physical tickets for the admission check.
