Sale of train tickets starts

    THE sale of tickets for high-speed trains G2922/3 and G2926/79 between Shenzhen and Kunming, which will be put into operation Jan. 5, started Monday.

    A second-class seater ticket for the trip from Shenzhen to Kunming costs 554.5 yuan (US$79.85) and the first-class seater is 778.5 yuan, Shenzhen North Railway Station said.

    The high-speed trains will cut the trip to six hours and 51 minutes. At present, it takes 29 hours to travel from Shenzhen to Kunming by regular express train.

    The G2922/3 leaves Shenzhen North Railway Station at 3:25 p.m. and arrives at Kunming South Station at 10:29 p.m. G2918/7 to Guiyang will be extended to Kunming and renamed G2926/79. It departs Shenzhen at 8 a.m. and arrives in Kunming at 2:52 p.m.
