CHINA’S LONGEST EAST-WEST HIGH-SPEED RAIL IN USE
    2016-12-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

An ethnic woman from Yunnan Province speaks to journalists about her first high-speed train experience on the first high-speed train leaving Kunming, capital of Yunnan, for Shanghai yesterday when the Shanghai-Kunming high-speed rail line was put into service. One of the world’s longest high-speed railways and China’s longest east-west high-speed railway, the line extends 2,252 kilometers to traverse the five provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan. It cuts travel time between Shanghai and Kunming from 34 to 11 hours.Xinhua
