    Air quality

SHENZHEN reported 29 days with good air quality in November, according to a report released by Shenzhen’s environmental protection authority.

The city ranked 8th in air quality in November among 74 cities in China that were monitored by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

Yantian, Dapeng and Futian had the lowest PM2.5 concentration in November, while Guangming, Longhua and Bao’an had the highest. The average PM2.5 concentration in the city stood between 25 and 40 micrograms per cubic meter.

    App-based cab system

CAR owners who want to engage in app-based cab service can apply for certificates for both drivers and vehicles by logging onto http://pta.sztb.gov.cn.

After an applicant’s information is reviewed and approved, he can make a reservation for a test, through which he can obtain the two certificates.

The authorities will share driver and vehicle information and retain the right to overrule qualification, or even revoke the license of a driver and vehicle, through the cab service operator, if the driver commits a serious violation or the licenses expire.

    Ceiling collapse

THREE moviegoers were injured when part of a ceiling in a cinema in a shopping center in Futian District collapsed Friday.

The newly decorated cinema was put into operation three months ago. Medical checks showed that the three had suffered slight injuries, and they were released after receiving treatment.

The cinema has suspended business, and the case is still under investigation.
