Bach

    Chinese pianist Sun Meiting will present Bach’s “Overture in the French Style, BWV 831” and “Goldberg Variations, BWV 988” tonight. Sun received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Mannes School of Music in New York City.

    Luo Zhongli

    Luo Zhongli, a significant Chinese artist in both modern and contemporary art from Sichuan Province, is exhibiting his oil paintings and sculptures at the “Partita in Bashan” exhibition.

    ‘All’

    Photographic works, installations, videos and sculptures created by contemporary Chinese artist Jiang Zhi are on display at his “All” exhibition. His photography series “Elegy” and “Love Letters” show the powerful sensory experience of light and fire.

    Images of Chaoshan

    More than 600 rarely seen images and an hour-long video of life in Chaozhou and Shantou in the early 20th century are on display. Researchers believe the video was shot in 1921-1939. The video shows signature Chaoshan-style architecture, clothes and accessories, cuisines and daily activities, extremely valuable for their research.
