Pharrell shares a message of hope for 2017
    2017-01-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE general feeling about the past year seems to be that the less said about 2016, the better. It seems like the last year has left many people feeling unoptimistic and uninspired.

However in his typically positive way, Neptunes’ superstar Pharrell Williams took to Instagram to share his message of hope for the coming year. In the post, which can be seen below, he says that, “I condemn hate speech of any kind. There is no room in this world for any kind of prejudice. My greatest hope is for inclusion and love for all humanity in 2017 and beyond.”

This isn’t the first time that Pharrell has given a silver lining in a situation that seemed pretty hopeless. Following Donald Trump’s victory in the Presidential election, Williams spoke about the impact on minorities, saying that, “I think that minorities are gonna come together in a way that we’ve never seen before cause they’re gonna realize there’s strength in numbers. And I think that art — music, design, fashion — is going to be incredible. Like I think that everyone’s given a whole new load of inspiration.”
