    2017-January-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN’S Spring Festival transport office will arrange four bus routes to provide 24-hour services for passengers coming and leaving Shenzhen at the west and east railway stations during the festival transport season.

The two routes from Shenzhen West Railway Station include a circular route to Nantou area and a route linking with Pingdi Bus Terminal in Longgang District.

Two routes from Shenzhen East Railway Station will link with Pingdi Bus Terminal and Shilongzai Bus Terminal, the office said.

In addition, the office will open night buses between a Vanguard Store in Bao’an and Songgang Bus Terminal, Songgang Bus Terminal and Shiyan Bus Terminal, and between Shiyan Bus Terminal and Beihuan Flyover on Shennan Boulevard. The buses will run until 2 a.m. between Feb. 3 to 21, for returning passengers.

The office estimates the city’s railway, air, road terminals and ferry service will handle 14.98 million passengers, an increase of 4.56 percent, during the 40-day transport season starting this Friday. The railway is expected to handle 8.69 million and aviation will handle 2.44 million.

The peak travel period is expected to be Jan. 21-26, the week before the Spring Festival holiday, and the peak of returning passengers is expected around Feb. 1-5.
