A netizen uploaded the picture to the Twitter-like Weibo platform Tuesday and asked Shenzhen traffic police whether it was illegal. The police’s Weibo account responded 30 minutes later, saying the whistleblower would be rewarded 1,000 yuan (US$144) after an investigation confirmed the incident.
