THE temperature in Shenzhen is expected to drop Friday because of cold air coming in from the north, according to the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory.

    The minimum temperature today will be 13 degrees Celsius and the weather will get warmer tomorrow and Thursday. But a cold front arriving in the city Friday will bring temperatures down again.

    According to the city’s observatory, the temperature will plunge twice before the Spring Festival on Jan. 28. The number of days with minimum temperatures ranging between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius will increase this month compared to last month. Lows will drop to 7 to 9 degrees Celsius in early February.

    During the Spring Festival holiday, between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2, the temperature will remain stable, with averages around 16 or 17 degrees Celsius and lows around 11 or 12 degrees Celsius.
