Pop singer FanFan to sing hot hits
    2017-February-6  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Taiwanese pop singer Christine Fan, better known by her stage name FanFan, will perform her “Road to Happiness” concert in Shenzhen.

Born in the United States, she is a singer-songwriter, TV presenter, record producer, actress, author and philanthropist. She has composed and written lyrics for herself as well as other artists, including Claire Kuo, Angela Chang, Freya Lim, and the girl group Hey Girl.

She began her music career at 24 with her first album, “FanFan’s World.” Her follow-up albums, “The Sun” and “The Sound of Music,” brought her mainstream success, but it was through “First Dream,” her fourth album, that she achieved national stardom.

The leading track “First Dream” is a cover of Japanese singer Miyuki Nakajima’s “Riding on a Silver Dragon’s Back,” a feel good anthem where college graduates proclaim their determination to follow their dreams in life and in their careers.

Her songs are often reflections of her personal life. She sings about her friendship, her relationship with her boyfriend (now husband) Blackie Chen whom she dated for 10 years before marrying in 2011 (“Love and FanFan,” “Together”) and her happiness after becoming a mom in 2015 (“FanFan’s Time to Give Thanks”). Fans love her because they feel she is real and opens up to them like a friend.

This is the comeback tour for the singer who stopped touring in 2014 in anticipation of the birth of her child.
