LION DANCE PERFORMED TO CELEBRATE LANTERN FESTIVAL
    2017-02-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

People perform lion dance to greet the upcoming Lantern Festival, which falls on Saturday this year, in Guangzong County in North China’s Hebei Province, yesterday. Celebrated on the 15th day of the first month in Chinese lunar calendar, Lantern Festival marks the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations. With a history of over 2,000 years, various traditional customs and activities are held during the festival, including watching lanterns and fireworks, guessing lantern riddles, performing folk dances, and eating yuanxiao, or glutinous rice dumplings.Xinhua
