    Sea World Light Festival

    The Fourth Sea World International Light Festival showcases lights designed by Dutch, Chinese, German and Canadian artists, such as Daniel Iregui, Xu Zhengyue, Tropisme, Antonin Fourneau and Stichting Barstow.

    German design

    With furniture designs, posters, publications, architecture models, paintings as well as photos and films arranged in chronological order in seven sections, the exhibition expounds on the 100-year history of Deutscher Werkbund, the German association for artists, architects, designers and industrialists.

    Dates: Until March 5

    Venue: OCT Art & Design Gallery, 9009-1 Shennan Boulevard, Overseas Chinese Town (南山区华侨城深南大道9009-1号华•美术馆)

    Treasures

    Tang Dynasty relics from Shaanxi Province are on display until Feb. 28. The relics were unearthed in 1987 from the underground palace of True Relic Pagoda in Famen Temple. Meanwhile, treasures on loan from the magnificent Potala Palace and Norbulingka, as well as Tibet Museum and Southeast Tibet Cultural Heritage Museum of Nyingchi City are also on display until May 3.

    Animation biennale

    The Third Shenzhen Independent Animation Biennale is a cross-regional art event showcasing videos and talks. Animation works created by international artists are on display.

    Metro: Line 1, Qiaocheng East Station (侨城东站), Exit A

    

    Photo exhibition

    Through Christopher Taylor’s black and white analogue photos compiled over the past five years, Taylor hopes to evoke the memory of the past, the stark natural beauty of his wife’s hometown in Iceland, and the people who continue to inhabit the landscape.

    Dates: Until March 30

    Venue: Meicheng Gallery, inside Wenbo Palace, Buji, Longgang District (龙岗区布吉西环路文博宫内美成空间)
