“THE Lego Ninjago Movie” is exploring a new part of the Lego movie universe in the film’s first trailer.

    The film’s voice cast includes Justin Theroux, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Zach Woods, Jackie Chan, Dave Franco, Kumail Nanjiani and Michael Pena.

    Charlie Bean directed the film, which centers on the battle of Ninjago City, which sees Lloyd (Franco) and his friends called to action. The secret warriors and Lego Master Builders are led by kung fu master Wu (Chan), as they battle the villain Garmadon (Theroux), who is also Lloyd’s father.

    “The Lego Ninjago Movie” has a Sept. 22 release date.
