Annette Bening joins ‘Katrina: American Crime Story’
    2017-02-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

“KATRINA: American Crime Story” is coming into focus. FX’s big follow-up to 2016 phenomenon and awards magnet “The People v. O.J. Simpson” has added its first new castmember: Annette Bening.

The four-time Oscar-nominated actress joins Ryan Murphy’s upcoming anthology installment as former Louisiana governor Kathleen Blanco. This sheds some light on how the Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions series plans to tackle Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Bening joins Murphy repertory players Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr., all of whom appeared in “O.J.”

Bening most recently appeared in “20th Century Women,” a part that earned her a Golden Globe nomination. “Katrina” marks her first TV role in over a decade.
