槽多无口
    2017-02-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

“吐槽,” which originated from Fujian dialect, means to “spit into other people’s bowl” literally. The inference is to criticize other people in their faces. But more and more used on the Internet, it simply means to “complain, defile or abuse.” This new phrase is an update of the previous term. “多” means “many,” “无” means “not having,” and “口” means “mouth.” Therefore, this term means “there are so many things I want to complain about that I simply don’t have the patience or time to point each one out.”

    Example:

    A: 最近热播的那个电视相亲节目你看过吗?

Zuìjìn rèbō de nà gè diànshì xiàngqīn jiémù nǐ kànguò ma?

Have you watched the live TV dating show that’s been popular recently?

    B: 看了一会儿就看不下去了,实在是槽多无口。

Kàn le yīhuìr jìu kàn bù xià qù le, shízài shì cáoduō wúkǒu。

I watched a few minutes and couldn’t stand it. There were so many things that I could complain about.
