    They will sing

LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA, Sting, Justin Timberlake and John Legend will be performing at this year’s Oscars, it was announced Friday. Miranda will be joined by Auli’i Cravalho, who voiced the lead character in “Moana,” and the two will perform Miranda’s Oscar-nominated song from the film, titled “How Far I’ll Go.” Fellow nominee Timberlake will perform his song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” from “Trolls.” Nominee Sting plans to perform “The Empty Chair” from “Jim: The James Foley Story.”

Legend, who won an Oscar for his song from the 2014 film “Selma,” is performing two songs from “La La Land.”

    Adam Levine’s star

SINGER-SONGWRITER Adam Levine received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday morning. An adorable highlight from the event was when Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s daughter, Dusty Rose, made her first public appearance. The 4-month-old stole the show as Levine dangled her above his new star and posed for a family photo.

    Nominations

ROMANCE “Soul Mate” is a frontrunner in this year’s Hong Kong Film Award race with 12 nominations, in categories including best picture, best director (Derek Tseng) and best actress nods for its female leads Zhou Dongyu and Ma Sichun.

The film, a Golden Horse Awards winner adapted from a novel of the same title, tells the story of two friends falling for the same man. Other films nominated for best film include police action drama “Cold War II,” “The Mermaid,” “Trivisa” and “Weeds on Fire.”(SD-Agencies)
