Man hammers record 38 nails with head
    2017-02-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN American man earned the Guinness World Record last week for the most nails hammered using an usual instrument — his skull.

Boston native John Herrero, also known as “Hammer Head,” hit 38 nails into a wooden plank in under two minutes.

“Preparation, training and dedication to the goal in front of me enables me to have full confidence in my abilities. When it’s time to perform a stunt, its balls to wall. It’s time to get in the rage zone,” he said.

The coveted record isn’t a first for Herrero — he also holds the one-minute record for the same quirky talent.

His specialty isn’t just nails, either — he also holds the record for “most concrete blocks broken on head with a bowling ball in three minutes” in the male category, which is an astonishing 45 blocks, the Huffington Post reported.

He also appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2016 and performs as a professional wrestler under the name “Gino Martino.”

It turns out that his skill is attributed to a biological abnormality. His skull measures at 16 millimeters thick — more than twice the human average of 6.5 millimeters.

He reportedly discovered his talent when he was chasing his brother as a child and ran straight through a wooden door head first.(SD-Agencies)
