    THE Shenzhen Daily is offering a free monthly eight-page supplement, named Coastal Bao’an, with the first supplement published Friday.

    Bao’an District, located in northwest Shenzhen along the city’s coastline, is developing into an international district with a rapidly growing economy and a livable environment.

    By cooperating with the Publicity Department of the Bao’an District Committee of the CPC, the Shenzhen Daily creates Coastal Bao’an to provide timely, reliable, abundant and useful information for English readers, especially expatriates and foreign-funded enterprises in the district.

    Containing eight pages, Coastal Bao’an gives readers an all-around introduction to Bao’an District. Aside from articles and photos elaborating on the district’s economic, cultural and social news, readers can also find useful information highlighting the fabulous landscapes and leisure events in the district each month.

    Founded in 1997, the Shenzhen Daily is the only English-language newspaper in southern China. It partnered with the Qingdao Municipal Government’s Information Office to publish Qingdao Today, a monthly newspaper supplement, in 2010.

    Another monthly supplement, Futian Today, has been jointly published by the Shenzhen Daily and the Futian District Government since 2015.
