Free Sunday show at SZ Concert Hall

    French flautist Sibel Kumru-Pensel will collaborate with Chinese flautists Guo Jing and Chen Sanqing to give a free concert Feb. 19 afternoon at the Shenzhen Concert Hall. Chinese pianist Li Yannan will accompany the performances. Free tickets can be claimed at www.szyyt.com/index.php/Perform/view/id/1929.

    The program will be Poulenc’s “Flute Sonata,” Debussy’s “Syrinx,” Boehm’s “Trois Duos de Mendelssohn et Lachner for Two Flutes and Piano, Op. 33,” Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Two Flutes in C Major” and the first movement of Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 6.”

    Kumru-Pensel studied at the National Conservatory of Nantes, the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris and the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique of Lyon. She studied with masters such as Maxence Larrieu, Genevieve Amar and Guy Cottin and has collaborated with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Alain Marion and Peter Lukas Graf.

    Passionate about chamber music, she has given master classes and concerts in many countries such as the United States, China, Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Norway and Belgium. She has been a jury member at major international competitions such as Nicolet Competition and Biwako Competition.
