A SHENZHEN public hospital is offering free medical checkups for children aged between 6 and 16 starting today. Those who want to join can apply by calling or on WeChat.
It’s the third time that the Southern Medical University Shenzhen Hospital is offering the service since it was opened in December 2015. The service, which was used by more than 2,000 youngsters last year, will be available for a month. The daily limit for the service is 30, and the checkups take place between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
The checklist includes regular pediatric, dental, eye, skin and orthopedic checkups. Applicants need to pay if they want to use services that are not on the list.
Parents need to accompany their children for the checkups. Applicants need not be a Shenzhen hukou holder, but they need to register using their names and ID or passport numbers.
Those who want to join can contact the hospital by calling 2332-9999 or registering on the hospital’s official WeChat account. Those who are unable to join at this time will have another chance later this year, as the hospital plans to offer the same service again.
