District has 125 listed firms
    2017-February-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THERE are 125 listed companies based in Nanshan District, accounting for 34.5 percent of the listed companies in Shenzhen, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.

A Nanshan-based technology company was listed on the ChiNext in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on Wednesday, making it the 125th listed company in Nanshan District.

Following Haidian District in Beijing, Nanshan District ranks second nationwide for the number of listed companies based in the district. Aside from the 125 listed companies, there are nearly 300 more companies in Nanshan District preparing to go public.

The spokesperson of the district’s economic promotion bureau said that the district government has been doing its utmost to create a favorable environment for companies that want to go public. In 2014, the government issued new measures to raise the upper limit of subsidies to help companies go public to 2 million yuan (US$292,222).

A series of policies aimed at supporting IPOs have been put in place in Nanshan District over the past few years, while listed companies have been offered subsidies and low-interest loans to solve their financing problems.
