    Parking overcharge

    SOME security guards were reportedly overcharging drivers due to limited parking spaces in Dameisha area.

    According to a report of Shenzhen TV, as part of the parking lot was under renovation, drivers who couldn’t find a parking space had to park at the nearby hotels. Some security guards would charge drivers up to 50 yuan to park without providing a receipt.

    The property management admitted that it had encountered similar issues before and fired some security guards. It promised to investigate.

    Norwalk viruses

    A TOTAL of 42 children in a kindergarten in Longgang District were confirmed to have been infected with Norwalk viruses.

    Their symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea. The health authority reminds that the spring period is a peak time for outbreak of the Norwalk virus.

    House rent hike

    RENT in Nanshan, Luohu and Futian increased by 13.6 percent in the past six months, according to a survey of tenants by Tencent.

    Nearly half of the respondents said their rent had been raised by at least 500 yuan, while 13.6 percent said that their rent had been raised by more than 500 yuan. Some apartments near Metro stations saw rent rise by more than 1,000 yuan (US$145).
