Futian aims to create international brands
    2017-03-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Futian District government targets creating international brands, integrating high quality global resources and attracting investments and talents this year.

With makers from Silicon Valley establishing their HAX hardware accelerator and French elites of science and technology setting up their overseas innovation center in Huaqiangbei, the government’s goals are off to a good start.

This year, Futian District will complete the infrastructure goals for the China International Electronic Display and Trading Center in the hopes of integrating global first-class brands.

The government will further support the development of Huaqiangbei and explore its potential as “China’s No.1 Electronics Street,” and to build it into a world-class intelligent hardware R&D center and a diversified commercial exchange center.

In addition, large-scale international exhibitions like China High Tech Fair and Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair are encouraged to further promote their brands and attract more high-end investments and talents with global vision.

The district will focus on attracting headquarters of enterprises from the world’s top 500, multinational companies of high-quality, listed companies and growth firms.

In terms of the consumption upgrades and building a global online and offline cross-border consumer center, Futian District will further expand its foreign trade and enlarge its international trade settlement scale this year in order to achieve the transformation from manufacturing to independent brand integration.

Cultural industries are also encouraged to come to Futian as the district strives to create an international fashion center and cultivate a batch of leading enterprises in the areas of creative design, film, television arts, and new media. Attention will be paid to supporting the apparel, arts investment and fashion industries. (A Ding)
