Cultural facilities attract citizens during CNY
    2017-03-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

DURING this Chinese New Year, a variety of cultural activities in Futian District attracted large numbers of citizens. Activities in the area range from attending exhibitions to watching movies and from reading books to visiting museums.

Many people visited the Shenzhen Museum because it’s free of charge, conveniently located and suitable for the whole family. “There were three exhibitions held at the museum during the Spring Festival, and I brought my family here after I learned about them on its official website,” said Ms. Li, who brought her children and parents to the museum.

Art that suits both refined and popular tastes is one of the features of the cultural activities. In the cultural exhibition hall of the museum, exhibitions like “Paintings to Pass On — Master Painting Exhibition From Contemporary Lingnan Art Gallery” and “Master Paintings From Shenzhen Fine Art Institute” filled the needs of art lovers.

The concerts and performances at Shenzhen Concert Hall and Shenzhen Grand Theater offered citizens a rich list of events.

Shenzhen Library and Book City in Futian were also popular venues for citizens. It’s not rare for you to encounter kids sitting on the ground indulging in books.
