A SPECIAL TV program named “Shenzhen Futian Sings for Beautiful China” was recorded before the Spring Festival at Huanggang village of Futian District and was played on CCTV-1 on the evening of Feb. 4.

On Jan. 14, the Spring Festival special grassroots performance program hosted by Sun Xiaomei and Zhang Yu from CCTV invited over 30 well-known artists including Zhou Bingqian, Zheng Yuan, Jin Runji, Pang Long and Xu Qianya and more than 3,000 audience members from all walks of life to take part in the show.

Excellent performances were presented in a variety of forms, including traditional and popular songs, as well as songs and dances from minority groups.

Futian District, as the center of Shenzhen and a national demonstration area of public cultural services, further explored its potential in developing the public service while maintaining highspeed economic growth.

The district has annually held over 5,000 cultural activities and has improved the library services in the district.

In the next five years, Futian District will invest 100 million yuan each year to promote the development of culture and sports.
