THE 2nd Lang Lang Shenzhen Futian International Piano Festival will be held this May. Young pianists can start applying now. Until March 8, teenage piano lovers in China can take part in the preliminary round.

    Participants from 8 to 17 years old will be divided into two groups by age, namely the children’s group (8 to 12 years old) and juvenile group (13 to 17 years old). The competition will have three stages, namely, a preliminary round, an intermediary heat and the finals.

    The festival will be held from May 15th to 21th. Participants can participate in all the events including master classes, lectures and concerts. The competition winners will have chances to perform at the closing ceremony and awards party on May 21.

    The competition is a public benefit activity that does not have any registration fees and related costs. You can also go to the Organizing Committee of Shenzhen or the registry station at Steinway Piano Store.

    Contestants who are qualified to join in the intermediary heat in Shenzhen will be announced on the official website on March 15 and semi-finalists will also receive an e-mail notification from the organizing committee. (Nan Nan)
