More migratory birds spotted
    2017-March-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Black-faced spoonbills are seen flying over Shenzhen Bay. Nearly 100,000 migratory birds fly to Shenzhen every year to winter from October to March. The number of such migratory birds has been increasing in recent years thanks to a fishing ban at Shenzhen Bay and the city’s improved ecological environment, bird watchers say. Black-faced spoonbills are among some 200 bird species that have been recorded spending winters in Shenzhen over the past 20 years. There are now 3,941 black-faced spoonbills worldwide, according to a census released recently, 17.4 percent more than last year. SD-Agencies
