I love singing
    2017-03-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

My name is Lily. I’m 11 years old. I like singing very much. Singing makes me happy.

When I was little, I would always sing, at home, at kindergarten, in my mom’s car, everywhere. My teachers and my friends always tell me that I have a nice voice. That encouraged me to sing more. And I began singing lessons when I was 5 years old. My dream is that when I grow up I will be a singer.

My first singing teacher was Miss Peng. At the end of the class, she would always compliment me and give me candy or chocolate as a reward. However, learning singing techniques is not easy. After two years I began to think learning to sing was very boring and I felt really tired of it.

I told Peng that I didn’t want to come to her class any more. Peng talked to me and encouraged me, she said, “Nothing is easy, unless you want to give up your dream of singing.” One day, Peng asked me, “Lily, your singing is getting better and better, would you like to enter a singing competition?”

I was so happy at that time. I studied hard for the competition. I thought I already sang very well. But Peng kept telling me, “Practice! There is no feeling in your songs.” I wasn’t happy and finally I cried. Peng said, “Now sing with this sad feeling!” I sang this song while I was crying. When I finished singing, Peng clapped. I then went on to win the first prize at the singing competition! I was very proud of myself.

Now I can sing well. And I have won so many prizes. I also have sung on CCTV’ s stage. I am on my way to achieve my singing dream.
