Domestic abuser turns out to be drug addict, dealer
    2017-March-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

HAVING suffered from domestic abuse for months, a woman eventually called police to accuse her boyfriend of abusing her, leading them to discover that the man was in possession of drugs and an illegal ID card, the Shenzhen Evening News reported.

Police in Longhua District received the woman’s call March 14. The woman, surnamed He, told police that she had met her boyfriend, identified as Liang, last year and moved in with him soon afterwards. Liang would resort to violence when he had disagreements with He.

Police thought that it was merely a domestic conflict until a detail caught their attention. Police learned from the couple’s landlord that Liang was a native of Shanwei City in Guangdong, but the registered household address on his ID card suggested that he was from Jiangxi Province.

During the investigation, police learned from He that Liang sometimes used drugs. Although she had constantly tried to persuade Liang to quit using drugs, it never worked, He said.

Police then targeted Liang and decided to take him back to the police station for further investigation. The suspect was seized by the police on his way back to his rental apartment.

Liang admitted to using another person’s ID card and selling drugs during the interrogation. The investigation continues. (Zhang Qian)
