Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor (C), 59, is accompanied by her husband and son after she won the election for Hong Kong’s chief executive in Hong Kong yesterday. Lam, the former No. 2 official of the SAR government, won the election of the fifth-term chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region yesterday. The Electoral Affairs Commission of the Hong Kong SAR declared that Lam garnered 777 of 1,163 valid votes, followed by Tsang Chun-wah with 365 and Woo Kwok-hing with 21.
