Images of Chaoshan
More than 600 rarely seen images and an hour-long video of life in Chaozhou and Shantou in the early 20th century are on display. Researchers believe the video was shot in 1921-1939. The video shows signature Chaoshan-style architecture, clothes and accessories, cuisines and daily activities, extremely valuable for their research.

Paintings of chickens
Local artist Zhuang Yujun is exhibiting his 220 chicken paintings. The rooster is one of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. The rooster symbolizes such character traits as confidence, bravery, diligence and auspiciousness.

Luo Zhongli
Luo Zhongli, a significant Chinese artist in both modern and contemporary art from Sichuan Province, is exhibiting his oil paintings and sculptures at the “Partita in Bashan” exhibition.

Simon Denny’s works
“Simon Denny: Real Mass Entrepreneurship” is New Zealand artist Denny’s first solo exhibition in China. Through his investigation of Shenzhen’s ecosystem, the artist reflects on the high-tech industry’s role in reshaping the world’s economic horizons. The exhibition title echoes the timely call for “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” in China.
