    Gas explosion

    A WOMAN and her two children were seriously injured in a cylinder gas explosion in their rented apartment in Xin’an Subdistrict, Bao’an District, on Sunday.

    According to the subdistrict government office, the mother, identified as Wen, and her 11-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter are in stable condition after they were rushed to a hospital by people in the neighborhood.

    The firefighting department is investigating.

    Knife attack at shop

    THE owner of a convenience shop in Nanyuan Village in Nanshan District was stabbed by a customer in an argument Sunday. The shop owner is in stable condition.

    Surveillance cameras showed two young men coming to the shop at around 10 p.m. and arguing with the shop owner. Then one of them took out a dagger and stabbed the shop owner.

    The case is under investigation.

    Book store in Longhua

    SHENZHEN Publishing and Distribution Group purchased a parcel of land at 84 million yuan (US$12.21 million) through an auction Friday. The 10,562-sqm land in Longhua District will be developed into a book store with a floor space of 29,500 square meters, according to Shenzhen Property Transaction Center.
