Seven British makers will exhibit their products and talk about their projects at a free event tonight at OCAT Shenzhen, as the closing ceremony of their three-week residence in Shenzhen. Entry is free but visitors should sign up at the organizer’s WeChat “OCATShenzhen.”
The makers, Victor Strimfors, Martin Goodfellow, Katrine Hesseldahland, Ross Atkin, Helen Steer, Laura Martinez and Jo Ashbridge, will showcase cool robots, marvelous toys designed for special children, 3D-printed contraptions, chic furniture and creative projects for protecting old Chinese villages. They will also talk about maker education, sustainable development and robot design. During the past three weeks, the U.K. makers visited local cultural and maker organizations, such as Design Society, Litchee Lab, Future + Academy, Makeblock, Pineprint and SZOIL.

Meanwhile, French public artist Pedro Garcia will give a lecture on urban renovation and the potential of public art. The lecture will be in French with Chinese interpretation. No need to sign up.
