Some of the 331 women of the Buyi ethnic group during an activity that set a Guinness World Record for the “largest gathering of people weaving yarn” in Wangmo County, Southwest China’s Guizhou Province, yesterday. The eldest participant was 80 while the youngest was 40. The Buyi ethnic group, with a population of 2.87 million, is a large minority in the southwest of China.
