    Female scammer

A WOMAN was detained recently for swindling app-based taxi drivers. Cheng was one of the victims. He said that upon arrival at the Customs Building in Longgang, the woman said she was running out of cash to declare at the customs and asked Cheng to lend her some money.

Considering the woman got in the taxi at an upmarket residential compound in Futian and would return to Futian by taking his taxi, Cheng lent her 900 yuan (US$130) but couldn’t find her after she got out of his car.
