Reservation rule mulled
    2017-March-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

YANTIAN District will hold a hearing on the online reservation rule for free admission to Dameisha Beach Park that will open May 1 after renovations.

Residents above the age of 18 can call 2232-1815 or fax 2272-6692 to apply to attend the hearing by April 20.

The district invested 130 million yuan (US$18.86 million) into renovating the park that received more than 10 million visitors a year. The ongoing renovations include water and electricity pipelines updating, infrastructure and landscape improvement, security projects and maintenance of the Wish Tower.

The park first opened to the public in May 1999 and had received 120 million visitors before it was closed for renovations in November last year.

The park management will add more toilets, shower rooms, lockers and garbage collection sites. It will improve the landscaping at Sun Square, Moon Square and expand more space to divert visitors.

In terms of security, the management will renovate the present turnstiles into an infrared intelligent system. The management will add lanes for security checks and install a monitoring system and LED screens. At the exit, a sightseeing bridge will be built to divert visitors during emergencies. (Han Ximin)
