TWO people involved in online porn performances in a rented apartment in Futian District have been arrested by police.
Police received a report Feb. 22, saying that a woman had given online porn performances via an online broadcasting platform. The performances each lasted about 20 minutes, and the performer informed people about the times of her performances through her QQ group, which has around 2,000 members.
Acting on the clue, police confirmed which apartment the woman was living in and on the early morning Feb. 24, the 35-year-old woman surnamed Mo, a Guangxi native, and her husband, 35, a native of Hunan, were caught.
An investigation showed that the couple had set up a QQ group, which required an admission fee of 20 yuan (US$2.90). Members needed to pay an additional 10 yuan to see a live porn performance in the online showroom.
The couple could earn hundreds of yuan in one night.
Tencent cyber safety experts said that its QQ team has adopted a zero-tolerance policy for online porn. Internet users can report such crimes at http://110.qq.com or http://kf.qq.com. In 2016, QQ’s security team closed 120,000 unhealthy QQ groups.
