Join Chapterhouse Theater Company with family and friends for an unforgettable evening of authentic English drama. The British company will present Emily Bronte’s classic love story “Wuthering Heights” to Shenzhen in April. The play will be in English with Chinese subtitles.

    Set in the beautiful, mysterious wilderness of the Yorkshire moors, this treasured story of enduring love and passion has thrilled and entranced for generations.

    “Wuthering Heights” is Bronte’s only novel. Author Joyce Carol Oates sees the novel as “an assured demonstration of the finite and tragically self-consuming nature of ‘passion.’”

    In 1999, Chapterhouse Theater Company took its first steps towards becoming one of a number of touring theater companies specializing in performing under the stars and at some of the most beautiful gardens Britain had to offer.
