Rock gigs at B10 Live

    Doughboy

    Hong Kong rapper Doughboy will sing and promote his new album “Chinglish.” He has written compositions for internationally known artist MC Jin, rapper KZ and singer Tommy Groove. In 2013, Doughboy collaborated with Sammi Cheng in her album “Love Is Love.” In 2014, he won the Best Theme Song Hong Kong Film Award with his song “The Way We Dance,” becoming the first rapper to win a Hong Kong Film Award. Doughboy has continued to make soundtracks for advertisements and movies. From 2014 to 2015, Doughboy and Jonathan Wong Chee Hynn co-wrote the theme song of “TVB AS-TRO Gala.” Starting from 2015, Doughboy has been working with Taiwanese singers Chang Chen-yue and MC Hotdog.

    Boxing

    Boxing is a Latin rap indie band, formed by three pairs of brothers from Taiwan. Discovered by singer A-Mei, members of Boxing were professional boxers and they integrate boxing elements into their music. Boxing expresses their thoughts and attitudes on life and tribal culture through brisk Latino-style rap. At the Shenzhen gig, they will promote their new album “Not Simple.” In the first half of the album, they invited many music producers from different fields to combine rock with various kinds of electronic music, including electronic dance music, tropical house, reggae electronic, vintage electronic and so on. On the second half, they took inspiration from their favorite classical rock songs in the 1980s-1990s.

    Sow

    Instrumental rock band Sow was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 2008. The music of Sow demonstrates an articulate and aggressive sense of sharpness; however, sometimes they change their ordinary composing style, illustrating their delicate yet marvelous music. Sow released their first EP “To Growth, for Growth” in 2014.
