AN association of pain relief centers was recently inaugurated at Nanshan People’s Hospital as one of China’s key projects in enhancing health care systems.
The association has so far attracted more than 50 public hospitals from 13 provinces around China to join with aims of improving prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pain, integrating medical resources and promoting a graded treatment system for patients.
It was explained that the project was part of the “Sino-Japan Association of Pain Relief.” With the setup of the association, professionals in the field are expected to work closer in both practice and academic research.
A center to diagnose complicated pain diseases will be set up within the association. Patients can see experts through the distance diagnosis system. Also, a graded treatment system will be adopted for patients suffering from various degrees of pain in order to provide a more precise diagnosis and treatment.
