Students at Hongya Primary School in Bao’an District receive dental sealants free of charge. Shenzhen is expanding its free dental sealant project to offer all Grade 2 primary students sealants to protect their 6-year molars from decay. The latest statistics from Shenzhen’s center for chronic disease control and prevention showed that 23.49 percent of 12-year-old Shenzhen residents have tooth decay.
