China League Two
Shenzhen Ledman FC will compete with Haikou Boying FC on Sunday. Shenzhen Ledman FC currently participates in the China League Two, the third tier of Chinese professional soccer clubs. Established as Shenzhen Renren FC in March 2015, the club played in the 2015 China Amateur Football League and won promotion to China League Two in the 2016 season.

Nanshan Pop Festival
The 2017 Nanshan Pop Festival will open this Sunday with a concert featuring hot singers like Dimash Kudaibergen, Shang Wenjie, Wei Chen and Jeff Chang. Free tickets can be claimed at WeChat “南山文体通” at noon and 8 p.m. April 7.

Simon Denny’s works
“Simon Denny: Real Mass Entrepreneurship” is New Zealand artist Denny’s first solo exhibition in China. Through his in-depth investigation of Shenzhen’s ecosystem, the artist reflects on the high-tech industry’s role in reshaping the world’s economic horizons. The exhibition title echoes the timely call for “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” in China.

SZ Museum exhibitions
• Taoist cultural relics
Precious Taoist cultural relics are on display, showing the rich and ancient history of Taoist culture. The exhibits are on loan from Hubei Provincial Museum and Wudang Museum in Central China’s Hubei Province.

• Tibetan treasures
“Propitious Clouds Holding Up Mount Qomolangma — Selected Artworks of Tibetan Buddhism” features 130 exquisite objects from Tibet, all with great historical and religious significance.

Theater talk
Hong Kong stage queen Perry Chiu will return to Shenzhen on April 28-29 with her Cantonese play “The Golden Cangue,” adapted from legendary Shanghai writer Eileen Chang’s 1950 novella of the same name. Chiu will give a talk to local fans and book lovers at OCAT Shenzhen this Friday. Entry is free.

Hei Yiyang’s works
Shenzhen designer Hei Yiyang is exhibiting artwork inspired from currency notes at the exhibition “I Love This Colorful World.” Hei combines various forms of media like graphic design, contemporary art, advertising and architectural space together. In 1999, he formed Sense Team, now considered among the most energetic and farsighted collectives among Chinese creative teams.
