Gateway One, a multipurpose shopping mall, fully opened near Sea World in Shekou yesterday.

    The mall is occupied with businesses including Ole supermarket, Lumiere Pavilions, Adidas, restaurants, dessert shops and electronic products shops.

    Positioned as a trendy and artistic leisure mall, Gateway One differs from other local shopping malls in that there are not many garment stores, while many are “lifestyle-concept” stores, featuring electronics, body and skin care, jewelry, handicrafts and karaoke booths. Dessert shops outnumber restaurants. With spacious open-air areas on each floor, street dance competitions will be held every weekend to lure young shoppers.

    Expats can find all kinds of imported food and life products at Q. Emporia store. American superhero lovers and children can buy authorized souvenirs from Star Trek, Marvel Comics, Disney, Transformers, Star War, Batman, Superman and World of Warcraft, at the Morstorm store. You can also find Funko and Monogram there.

    On the basement floor, French poster artist Francois Caspar is exhibiting his visually dazzling works. His posters have been awarded and shown in over 140 international exhibitions and belong to public and private collections in places like Paris, Hamburg and New York City.
