As one of the organizers of the 19th International Botanical Congress to be held in Shenzhen in July, Fairy Lake Botanical Garden will hold an open day event for 15,000 visitors Saturday. Locals can sign up at the WeChat “szbgac.”

    At the event, the organizer will introduce the International Botanical Congress, an international meeting of botanists in all scientific fields, authorized by the International Association of Botanical and Mycological Societies and held every six years.

    The garden will open its scientific research building and seed center and its volunteers will introduce new plants. Children can attend a plant-painting contest at the event.
