Chaihuo Maker Space will invite Masakazu Takasu from TeamLab to take you on a journey to his homeland of Japan and their exciting ways of using technology, design and science, as a warmup event for TeamLab’s exhibition in Shenzhen in July.

    TeamLab, founded in 2001, is a collaborative, interdisciplinary creative group that brings together professionals from various fields of practice in the digital society: artists, programers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, architects, Web and print graphic designers and editors. Referring to themselves as “ultra-technologists,” their aim is to achieve a balance between art, science, technology and creativity. TeamLab believes that digital technology can expand art and that digital art can create new relationships between people.

    Takasu will talk about some of TeamLab’s outstanding projects and the stories and ideas behind these masterpieces.
