Vagrant donates organs
    2017-April-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Wang Chengyi, a 79-year-old vagrant, signs an organ donation registration form at Shenzhen Armed Police Hospital on Thursday. Wang, a native of Hunan Province, was dealt a severe blow when his parents died when he was 22 years old. Coupled with a sudden high fever, he lost the ability to speak and began living as a vagrant soon afterwards. He has been taken to Shenzhen Armed Police Hospital a number of times over the years and was saved by the doctors there. He even regained his ability to speak with the help of the doctors. Wang, who has been receiving treatment at the hospital for a pulmonary infection since March 25, told reporters that he decided to donate his organs and body after he dies as a way to return his gratitude to society.
